The department of Energy estimates that proper air sealing and insulation can save 10-50 percent off heating and cooling bills. Not to mention you will notice the difference immediately.
Owens Corning is a proven company in the insulation industry that is known for its innovative products and let’s not forget this guy. The Pink Panther.
The AttiCat system uses bagged Fiberglas insulation which is fed into a machine to insulate your attic. It works by breaking it up and fluffing it, adding millions of the tiny air pockets that give the material its insulating power. The insulation is conditioned further throughout the length of the hose, and as it bounces its way up to your attic, more and more air pockets are added, increasing its insulating power even more. And since Fiberglas™ insulation will not settle, it will keep its energy-saving R-value over time.

Having your home properly air sealed is critical to your energy conservation efforts and greatly impacts your utility bills. You can save up to 30% of your energy costs by air sealing multiple points of your home where energy losses occur. Additionally, air leaks are also a major cause of discomfort, moisture problems and even poor air quality.

Proper insulation and air sealing also keeps attics cold in winter by blocking the entry of heat and moist air from below which reduces the potential for ice damming. In the summer, natural air flow in a well-vented attic moves super-heated air out of the attic, protecting roof shingles and removing moisture. The insulation will resist heat transfer into the house.

Excess moisture can lead to mold, ice damming and potential roof damage when it becomes trapped in your customer’s attic. Raft-R-mate® attic rafter vents help attic insulation perform at its best.
